We offer a free NHS advice and treatment service for seven common conditions under the Pharmacy First service to eligible patients.
What is Pharmacy First?
Pharmacy First lets our pharmacists assess and treat seven common conditions without you needing to see a GP. If treatment is appropriate, we can supply the medicine you need — including prescription-only medicines where clinically suitable.
Consultations are carried out remotely by our pharmacists and usually take around ten minutes. No appointment is necessary — just get in touch during opening hours and we'll arrange a time to talk.
Conditions we can treat
- Sore throatAges 5 years and over
- EaracheAges 1 to 17 years
- SinusitisAges 12 years and over
- ImpetigoAges 1 year and over
- ShinglesAges 18 years and over
- Infected insect bitesAges 1 year and over
- Urinary tract infectionWomen aged 16 to 64 years
*Free for eligible NHS patients. Our pharmacist will confirm your eligibility during the consultation and will refer you to your GP or another service if that's more appropriate.
